Titles, keywords and delivery to every stock agency, from one upload
A Mountain View startup building software for photographers, videographers and illustrators who sell on stock agencies. Contributors used to write titles and keywords for every file, adapt them to each agency’s rules, build CSV files and upload over a desktop FTP client. Lorryn built the product that does it in one pass: AI metadata, per-agency rules, embedded IPTC and XMP, server-side delivery, a browser extension and an MCP server for AI assistants.
The whole system
From a folder of files to every agency, in one run
A title, description and keywords written from the image itself
Vision models look at each photo, vector or video clip and write a marketable title, a description of the scene and a ranked keyword list, plus alt text. They describe what is happening, not just the objects in the frame. Contributors can queue thousands of files in one batch.
One metadata pass, reshaped for every agency
Each agency has its own keyword limit, category list and words it rejects. The rule engine trims keywords to each limit in order of relevance, removes banned terms, adds the contributor’s mandatory keywords and maps categories to each platform’s taxonomy. The contributor keeps one master set.
The metadata travels inside the file
Titles, descriptions and keywords are written into each file as IPTC and XMP, the standard fields agencies and photo tools read. A CSV per agency can be exported too, for agencies that take a manifest or as a copy the contributor keeps.
Nothing goes out without a look
Between writing and sending there is a review step. The contributor sees every file, edits in bulk, and gets flags for files with missing metadata or possible problems before they reach an agency’s review queue. If a rule turns out to be wrong, the whole batch can be rolled back.
Files keep sending after the laptop is closed
Files and metadata go to each agency over FTP or SFTP from the product’s servers, not the contributor’s computer. Credentials are entered once per agency. Each destination reports its own status, and failed transfers can be retried on plans with advanced error handling.
Agency upload forms filled in for you
For agencies that use web upload forms, a Chrome extension fills in the title, keywords and category on the agency’s own upload page, file by file, from the metadata already written.
Run the whole workflow from a chat
An MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants to the contributor’s account. From a chat they can import a shoot, write metadata, fix weak keywords and deliver, with the same agency rules as the dashboard. Delivery always shows a preview first and waits for a yes.
2 agencies · 64 files · 1 rule issue
1 file has a brand name in its keywords. Remove it and deliver?
What changed, task by task
The time a contributor spends per photo, before and after, and what the team can check in the product. Contributors on one agency forum report 1 to 5 minutes per image to keyword by hand; we used 3 minutes.
Time per task, before and after
Each bar is one photo sent to three agencies. Step times are estimates, being confirmed with the team.

Questions software founders ask
Do you build whole products, not just automations?
Yes. Here we built the product end to end: the dashboard, the AI pipeline, the rule engine, delivery, the browser extension and the MCP server.
Why add an MCP server?
It lets customers use the product from Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants, with the same rules and a preview before anything is sent.
Who owns the code and the customers’ files?
The client owns the product. The product claims no ownership of contributors’ files.
Live product. Step times are estimates per photo, based on contributors’ own reports and being confirmed with the team. Your times will depend on your process. We don’t publish clients’ revenue.
